                                                                                The KwikPit Company

Hello all, just returning from a long vacation to Thailand for both a little business and some relaxation. It's good to be back and handling the daily routine. Most admin stuff  can be handled remotely but not the manual labor of shipping kits etc. As I've stated before we are just a husband and wife team and I was bitten by the aviation bug for as long as I can remember. We don't have a staff that can handle things when we're away. My wife has been a loyal companion as many aviations enthusiast mates are and really supports me and the company as my only part time employee. I started the company to create a cockpit that was affordable for the simulation community and that's how the KwikPit Company was born.

When I started each kit was manufactured by hand by yours truly. As we have grown this is no longer possible to manufacture the units by hand, I would be spending all my time doing just that. We use CNC services by a very reliable contractor to produce the kits today  this gives us a precise control and perfectly fitting parts for the kits. We are also incorporating some new design features into the kit such as doing away with the metal brackets and using a sure-lock method making assembly a snap for our customers.

Unfortunately as we turn to automation we have faced price increases for these services and as a result we must acknowledge a rise in price on the KwikPit kits. Our goal is to keep the KwikPit price below the $200 level which we are able to do. We attempt to absorb as many of these increases as possible and continue to provide an inexpensive alternative for the enthusiast that wants to own a cockpit and add realism to his or her simulation experience. We hope you will continue to enjoy and support the KwikPit Company's current and future products.

                                 New Look

We'll be updating the look of our website near the beginning of August. We hope navigation will be even easier and our products can be located more quickly. Although the present site is simple and easy t navigate it is time for a facelift. We assure you that you will enjoy the new look and hope you'll find the face lift exciting.

Cool Video

While getting back into the swing of things I often surf the internet to see what's new in the industry. I can't resist most of the videos that are produced to demonstrate the different products. I especially enjoyed this video from A2A demonstrating some finer points of their P51-D Mustang model for FSX. It really shows the detail possible and the state of the art  of what is available on the market. Go to the link, you'll enjoy it. http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?=93&t=29667

Well that's it for now, a very short issue, back to wrk.Until next time keep the blue side up.
